MSM

Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM) is a naturally occurring organic sulfur compound found in our bodies as well as in many common beverages and foods, including milk, coffee, tea and green vegetables. Enerex’s MSM is an odorless, essentially tasteless, white, water-soluble crystalline solid. It is guaranteed 99.9% pure, and is one of the safest substances in biology, similar in toxicity to water.

Overview

Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM) is a naturally occurring organic sulfur compound found in our bodies as well as in many common beverages and foods, including milk, coffee, tea and green vegetables. Enerex’s MSM is an odorless, essentially tasteless, white, water-soluble crystalline solid. It is guaranteed 99.9% pure, and is one of the safest substances in biology, similar in toxicity to water.

MSM is derived from pine trees and contains naturally occurring organic sulfur (not to be confused with inorganic sulfides, sulfites and sulfates). MSM and its related compounds are the source of 85% of the sulfur found in all living organisms. Many researchers believe that sulfur, the eighth most abundant element in the body, plays an important role in human nutrition.

Enerex products are housed in recyclable BPA-free PETE plastic containers to provide the best protection against oxidation, moisture, sunlight, and chemical migration from container to product. In all of these areas, PETE is virtually equal to that of glass but without the larger environmental footprint left by glass packaging. PETE plastic is far superior to that of HDPE plastic in all regards; HDPE plastic is used for the majority of products on the market. Unlike more costly PETE bottles, HDPE plastic facilitates the immediate degradation of the product inside as it is not a barrier to oxygen or moisture; studies also show high concentrations of chemical migration from HDPE bottles to product relative to that of PETE and glass bottles.
